Loading Sample Events
Introduction
At this point, you’ve created a static environment and used it to
initialize the two working environments (:current
and :pending
) with
an Initial Closing event, and have confirmed that the commitments,
portfolio and financial ledgers are correct.
Now, you will use the event batch processing system to exercise some of the system’s functionality.
As a convenience, a default implementation of the Timpson Gray Allocations Accounting platform comes with a number of previously event sets. These are provided as an example only and are useful for demonstrating and testing the system’s capabilities.
These event sets assume that the fund’s initial closing date is January 1, 2018. If that’s not the case, you should expect errors.
Loading an Event Set
On the Home page, click on the Manage groups of events and event sets located in the top panel.
Doing so will take you to the Events Management Page
From the middle panel on that page you have the opportunity to load any of the available previously saved events sets - how to save event sets will be explained in another section. But, for the current example, select simple-test in the dropdown control and click the Load button.
When the event set has been successfully loaded you will see a message similar to this
At this point, the :simple-test
event set has been loaded on the server
and is available for use.
